HotArthol is the first youth gallery in Lviv, designed to exhibit artistic debuts, namely to embody the ideas of young authors of visual, audio and multimedia art.

The idea of creating an exhibition gallery in the Palace arose in the process of developing a strategy for the development of the institution until 2025. In the discussions we involved cultural managers of Lviv, partners from Lublin, representatives of cultural and creative industries, business, and city authorities.
The purpose of the exhibition space is to solve several problems. In particular, to return to historical justice, that is, functionalism in the interior of the Palace, which was lost after the reconstruction of the 80s. In addition, the emergence of a modern gallery allowed the Palace management to finally say “yes” to artists who apply for exhibitions.
From November 2019 to May 2020, the team of the Palace of Gnat Hotkevych conducted an active campaign to promote the idea of creating the first youth gallery in Lviv. The result was the victory of HotArthol on the platform “Spolnokoshtu”: thanks to every caring citizen, the project managed to collect 82 thousand hryvnias out of 80 necessary. In addition, the Palace of Gnat Hotkevich received 6 thousand euros of financing for the gallery “HotArthol” from the support program of the European Union “House of Europe”. The Palace team managed to attract these funds by winning a large infrastructure grant in the crowdfunding nomination. The HotArthol project was ahead of four other applicant projects from different parts of Ukraine in the competition.
